WHO THE PROGRAM ADDRESSES
The open call is addressed to composers interested in examining the philosophical premises and consequences of their work. Relevant practices may be score-based, electroacoustic, digital, performative, improvised, collaborative, interdisciplinary, installation-based, site-responsive, research-led, or situated across multiple media. This range is indicative rather than exhaustive.
Projects may begin from a specific composition, a portfolio of works, a developing method, a theoretical problem, a technological system, an institutional question, or a broader artistic research trajectory. Participants should be prepared to present work in progress, engage closely with the work of others, revise their positions in response to discussion, and contribute actively to a collective research environment.
The programme does not require participants to arrive with a complete philosophy of composition. Its purpose is to establish the conditions under which philosophical positions can be articulated, tested, differentiated, and developed through practice. Intellectual curiosity, critical openness, and a commitment to sustained exchange are therefore as important as the current state of any individual project.
